Vasant Kunj may be considered a high-end neighbourhood of the city but it continues to remain one of the dark spots as far as one of the most basic amenities is concerned — regular water supply. Water shortage and reliance on tankers and borewells have been a constant features since the colony was established in the late 1980s.​
